Hand forged kitchen utility knife by Dr Zech featuring a Japanese Wa style handle. Made of high quality Sheffcut knife steel (not rust proof).

This kitchen utility knife is hand forged by Dr Zech from Sheffcut high carbon niobium steel. This kitchen utility knife features a high flat grind of 14 degrees where the primary bevel extends beyond the blades midline with a secondary micro bevel hand ground on a whetstone.

It has a keen edge and is perfect for a variety of kitchen tasks. The bevel has been polished to a mirror shine.

This prep knife features a predominantly yew wood handle showcasing some of the natural ‘live’ edge of wood with some subtle resin infill. The cap is separated by cork and consists of red padauk wood with black water buffalo horn for a traditional finish.
