Dr. Zech’s small archaeology trowels are hand forged and perfect for smaller excavation spaces or where finesse is required.This version of our small trowels is perfect for the entry level professional or avid amateur.
They feature a 5mm thick mild carbon steel blade with a full tang wooden handle incorporating long-lasting mechanical fittings for hard use which are hidden by hardwood buttons.
Trowel Dimensions
- Blade Length: 75-80mm
- Blade Width: 35-40mm
The inlaid wood buttons are visible and species is chosen at random; these buttons cover the mechanical fittings which facilitate easy removal and replacement of the wood scales.
Please note that the wood for the handles is selected at random from the following species: oak, ash, beech, poplar, and yew. If you would like a specific type of handle material, please use the ‘contact us’ form on the bottom of the page.
Our small archaeology trowels, like all our tools, are handmade in the UK using materials of British or European manufacture.
