Kitchen knife making course by Dr. Zech. The price is per person and includes material costs. This course lasts around three hours and you will learn how to forge a Japanese kitchen knife (either a kiritsuke, santoku, or gyuto). You will grind the blade on the belt grinder and also handle it up. The knife you forge you will get to take home with you at the end of the course.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the designated start time. Please where sensible clothing (long sleeve shirt and trousers with closed toed shoes). Safety glasses and gloves will be provided, but you may want your own.
Please head to Stable Block 1 at Burton Constable Hall. The Anvil & Yew is located in the courtyard opposite of the Art Gallery next to Moby Dick's Whale. Please ask at the tea and gift shop reception if unsure of our location.
